Confirmation of Ehsan Faridi's Death Sentence by the Supreme Court

Reports received by #Amirkabir_Newsletter indicate that the death sentence of Ehsan Faridi, a 22-year-old student at the University of Tabriz, has been confirmed and finalized by the Supreme Court, and he is now facing imminent execution.

Ehsan Faridi was previously sentenced to death by Branch 3 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Hassan Fathpour, on the charge of "corruption on earth."

According to available information, the initial charge against this student was "propaganda against the system," and he had been temporarily released on bail. However, approximately forty days later, Faridi was summoned to Branch 15 of the Tabriz Prosecutor's Office, presided over by Seyed Ali Mousavi, where the charge was changed to "corruption on earth," leading to his re-arrest and transfer to Tabriz Prison.

An informed source stated that the case investigator, who is said to have been dismissed from the judiciary due to forming an economic corruption network, had demanded a bribe from Faridi's family during the case proceedings. Following the family's refusal to comply with this demand, a heavier charge was brought against Ehsan Faridi.
